first of all, please escuse my english
i`ll love to see an preloader, something like when linux is loading …. black screen, white text … showing the process of loading the css files, images, js files – in percentage
example:
loading 1st css file(size) ………. 100%;
loading 2nd css file (size) ………….100%;
.
.
.
.
loading nth js, jpg, gif, etc file ………………..100%;
when finishes loading every file the black screen disappears, and u can see the the page.
while the files are loaded, the logo can be seen, and the text will be shown like this: http://www.dynamicdrive.com/dynamicindex2/typescroll.htm
i hope u can understand what i`m talking about.

@mrflat Thanks for posting! I think it can be more complicated than expected… But I will try to investigate a little more about how to control the % of images loaded.

i`ve made some research, i found something … but is not exactluy what i want.

the thing is i`m not interested on the progress bar, only that percentage of file loading, but i can set the it to have the background color and will disappear, now i need to find a way to define the files which are going to be loaded…
We are planning to release a tutorial about javascript and images loading, maybe we can add the progress bar that will advance after each file is loaded (but not the current percentage of this file!).
Maybe next neek, it will be available, thanks for posting mrflat!
